Contemporary converted church or God’s Loftstory, Netherlands
Dutch architectural practice Leijh, Kappelhof, Seckel, van den Dobbelsteen Architecten have completed the God’s Loftstory project. The converted church can be found in the village of Haarlo, The Netherlands. According to the architects: “The former Dutch Reformed Evangelism Building in Haarlo has been transformed into a unique loft. The starting point for the design were the retained (mostly with a need for restoration) qualities of the 1928 dating monument, the façade, the bell tower with clock, the volume, the iconic location on the outskirts of the village and nice details like the wooden roof construction, the old panel doors and arch windows with stained glass. Shanghai-based interior designers and architects Coordination Asia have completed a new breed of telecom stores named AER for AISIDI, one of China’s leading resellers of mobile and digital products and services. AER is a retail brand that offers customised mobile services in a playful, cool and customer-focused environment. The architects took on branding as well as VI and store design for AER. The first AER store has now opened in Shenzhen and new stores are planned to open China-wide soon. Valencia-based architects and interior designers Masquespacio have designed the office for Spanish Law firm Zapata y Herrera. Completed in 2012, the contemporary office design can be found in Spain’s third largest city Valencia. Nayra Iglesias principal of Spanish architectural practice In Out Studio was commissioned to redesign the Fortuni Club. Completed in 2012, the cosy nightclub can be found near the port of Las Palmas, on the island of Gran Canaria. According to the designers: “It was an ambitious commercial project.
