Luxurious Piper Building Apartment, London, England
London-based design led architectural practice Seth Stein Architects have re-designed the Piper Building. The contemporary building can be found in upmarket area of Parson’s Green, London, England. Originally built in the 1950s by the North Thames Gas Board, it was converted into apartments in 1997 by Lifschutz Davidson, an architecture practice specialising in renovated buildings. Commissioned to decorate the exterior of the conference room wing was John Piper, a leading artist in the 50s and now building’s namesake. He produced 76 metres of fibreglass mural panels, providing a truly distinguished example of public art. Italian architects ASA Studio Albanese have designed the Casa Albanese project. Completed in 1998, this traditional Mediterranean dammuso house can be found on the Island of Pantelleria, Italy. Utah-based design studio Axis Architects has designed the H-House project. Completed in 2008, the luxury hilltop residence overlooks Salt Lake City in Utah. According to the architects: “The H House is a modern residence located high on Salt Lake City’s East Bench on Devonshire. The living spaces of the house are oriented towards the expansive views of the valley and the Great Salt Lake. “One of the challenges of this project was to allow for the views to the west, while protecting the contemporary Salt Lake City house from the afternoon sun. The Voelklip project is another dream property designed by Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects (SAOTA), a Cape Town-based studio. This contemporary residence is a plush, luxurious home and is located in Voelklip, Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa. Sag Harbor-based design studio Bates Masi Architects has designed the Noyack Creek Residence. The contemporary property can be found in Noyack, a hamlet in Suffolk County, New York, USA.
